Dearne joined of the Pareto team in 2017; bringing more than 18 years’ experience in the not-for-profit sector, extensive experience in the commercial sector and has held a variety of Director and Advisory Board positions.
As an experienced senior executive and non-executive director, she has applied expertise in organisational behaviour, operations, staff development and engagement, communications and business development, acquired through senior executive roles in commercial and NFP environments.
Her not-for-profit experience includes General Manager and Director of Anglicare and Anglican Aid, a board member of House-With-No-Steps since 2011 and a Non-Executive Director for Make-A-Wish Australia for six years.
Dearne understands the challenges of running a complex business and the pressure on leaders as they tackle complex issues, culture, the bottom line, strategic and board-level decisions while forging positive and eﬀective relationships.
When discussing Pareto, she said, “I remember when Pareto started, I was amongst their first clients. Dearne studied at Macquarie University, Curtin University and Swinburne University and achieved an MBA, Master of Management, PGC Human Rights, BA Anthropology and Studies in Behavioural Studies and Psychology. She is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management, a Fellow and Certified Practicing Marketer of the Australian Marketing Institute and a member of the Australian Anthropological Society.
